Trish lives just north of the moor., and makes cosy, felted slippers in natural colours for Powdernills. Trish's slippers are expecially comfortable, as they have no seams.
Bellacouche is a partnership of two felt-makers, Yuli Somme & Anne Belgrave. They love working with wool and designing and making new products that make use of its very special properties.
The wool used is from local Dartmoor sheep that have grazed the hills and valleys of this land for many a year. Materials are all sourced and processed locally using the natural colours of the fleeces combined with plant dyed wool. The manufacture of the felt has a low environmental impact and after use it makes a good compost ingredient.
Claire lives between Dartmoor and Exeter. She has been preparing fleeces, spinning and dying wool and other fibres for over 20 years. Her garments are designed by Claire and hand-knitted. Only natural dyes are used where colour additional to the natural hue of the fleece is needed
